An Afternoon Distilled with Istanbul’s Spring Blossoms


This time, we distilled the spring blossoms of Istanbul.


Wisteria, jasmine, linden, and rose… These delicate scents, each holding an old and intimate place in the city’s spring memory, came together with WeReserve’s rich aromatic universe of more than two hundred notes, transforming into a layered, sensory experience that belonged only to that day.


WeReserve Seasons: Spring Edition was much more than an event. It was a quiet ritual — one that explored the distinctive scents of the season through Istanbul’s historical and botanical memory, creating an elegant bridge between scent, taste, time, and place.


Smelling Flowers in Their Season


Ottoman physicians once wrote that smelling flowers in their proper season brought healing to both body and soul. This was not merely an aesthetic appreciation of pleasant aromas; it was part of a broader understanding of the human body in relation to the seasons, the climate, and the rhythms of nature.


Inspired by this ancient intuition, we gathered the fleeting beauty of spring into a single moment. The dreamlike floral shadow of wisteria, the white warmth of jasmine approaching the night, the soft honeyed texture of linden, and the timeless elegance of rose came together in the copper alembic.


What emerged was less a perfume in the classical sense, and more the olfactory memory of a day: an edible perfume belonging only to that table, that season, and that precise moment.


The WeReserve Universe on the Aroma Wheel


One of the most memorable parts of the experience unfolded under the guidance of aroma expert Ece Erdoğmuş Becer. Through the aroma wheel, Ece Becer introduced WeReserve’s different notes, inviting guests not only to taste, but to perceive, distinguish, and name what they sensed.


This tasting was far more layered than a conventional tasting. As participants moved through fruity, spicy, floral, woody, resinous, and sweet notes, they experienced how scent and taste intertwine. In this way, WeReserve’s universe of more than two hundred notes opened up within a professional and masterful framework — yet through a language that remained warm, vivid, and deeply enjoyable.


Each sip revealed how an aroma can leave its trace not only on the palate, but also in memory. Each scent summoned another face of the season.



Istanbul Spring in the Copper Alembic


At the heart of WeReserve Seasons lies the same idea each time: the belief that every season has its own aromatic language.


In the Spring Edition, this language was written through Istanbul’s spring blossoms, as they met WeReserve once again inside the copper alembic. As wisteria, jasmine, linden, and rose slowly warmed within the copper still, they transformed into a delicate vapour carrying traces of the place and moment from which they came — and WeReserve was reborn through the aromas of the season.


Here, the alembic was not merely a technical vessel. It became an elegant microcosm: one that gathered, transformed, and intensified the fleeting scents of nature. A flower may smell beautiful on its own. Yet when it meets the right moment, the right table, and the right story, it can remind us of things we had forgotten we had forgotten.

The Sweet Finale of Spring at Four Seasons Sultanahmet


Created especially for this edition, the edible perfume accompanied the chef’s dessert plate at the end of a menu designed exclusively for the occasion by the culinary team of Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet.


The dessert was not merely a conclusion, but a final sentence in which scent, taste, and season could be felt all at once. The perfume settled over the plate like an elegant cloud. The floral lightness of spring merged with WeReserve’s aromatic universe, transforming the finale of the menu into a quiet yet unforgettable impression.


It was one of those moments where luxury was not defined by display, but by time, attention, and the senses.
